Information
Home to what is considered by most to be the best park in Bellingham is the Whatcom Falls Neighborhood.
Whatcom Falls Park is the main resident of the neighborhood occupying the northern third of the area it encompasses. It is home to miles of walking and biking trails, a playground, tennis courts and a fish hatchery. Did I mention the creek It is also home to Whatcom Creek, a special swimming hole for area locals.
The residential part of the neighborhood is comprised of sidewalk lined street with modest to large sized home and clean lawns and gardens. Whatcom Falls boast some of the lowest density housing in the city. If in the area don’t forget to check out the local ice cream and donut shop, Lefeen’s located across from the park in the neighborhoods only commercial zone.
Children who live in the neighborhood attend Carl Cozier Elementary School, Kulshan Middle School and either Bellingham or Sehome High School.
