Sunnyland
Neighborhood Information
Sunnyland is a very diverse neighborhood ranging from quaint single-family homes to commercial developments, hardware stores and fast food.
Residential areas are in the north and west areas of Sunnyland. The northern area features lower density housing, while the west side is higher density. Throughout the neighborhood, most of the homes are single family, two-story homes. The southern end of the neighborhood contains many area restaurants and businesses. Shopping here is easy with a large hardware store, tire shop and a couple of restaurants and fast food establishments.
The area is also home to two playgrounds, Sunny Land Park and Memorial Park. It is a very convenient neighborhood with quick access to the larger Cornwall Park, I-5 and St Josephs’ Hospital.
Depending on where in the neighborhood they live, elementary ages children will attend either Sunnyland , Parkview of Lowell Elementary Schools. Middle School aged chidren will attend either Kulshan or Whatcom Middle Schools. While High School students will attend Bellingham or Sehome High.
