 Named one of the top 100 adventure towns in the nation by National Geographic Magazine, Bellingham is sure not to disappoint. From the water's of Bellingham Bay to the snow drenched peaks of Mt. Baker you are sure to find what ever your heart desires to keep you busy here.
During the warm summer months residents and visitors of the area can enjoy a swim or watersports in one of the many Whatcom County lakes, the largest of which is Bellingham's Lake Whatcom. If saltwater is more your style you can beachcomb and soak your toes in the warms waters of shallow Birch Bay. The area is also home to several world class golf courses from the Bellingham Golf and County Club Course to Loomis Trail and Sudden Valley Golf Courses.
 Not only are the Summer months abound with activities, so are the Fall and Winter months. One of Whatcom County's claim to fame is the world famous Mt. Baker with it's fresh powder and one of the world's only natural half pipes for skiing and snowboarding. The Mt. Baker National Forest is also lush with snowshoeing trails, snowmobiling oppurtunities and incredible view points of Mount Baker and the twin sister mountains.
