The van was just the right size to haul the scrap metal to the recyclers in
one trip.
I raised $5600.00 for the Spark Museum from the scrap I collected from my
radio antenna replacement project at work.

The “Spark Museum”, in case you didn’t know, is the new name for the former American Museum of Radio and Electricity, located at 1312 Bay St.  If you haven’t ever visited them, you have missed a real treat.  It is full of fascinating, interactive displays – great for kids as well as adults  – and even houses a radio station.

The Johnson Team’s Truck is Again used by Community

The Bellingham Lions Club has used The Johnson Team’s truck for years at the Lynden Fair to pransport it’s fleet of wheel chairs from the Al Boe Lions Wheelchair Warehouse to the Lynden Fairgrounds.  The Lions Club will be providing Lynden Fair Attendees with access to wheel chairs again this year.  If you know a Lion Member, you’ll want to be sure to thank them for this valuable community service.

After going to Africa in 2007 and 2008, I cannot get the people and the ministries I worked with out of my mind.  The people are so dear and so precious, and their needs are so great.  The concept in my mind was that with the things that we no longer are using over here in our society, others could be cared for with basic needs.  Just like God takes care of the birds, by our crumbs He also takes care of people in the same way.  I have been provided for by crumbs too, and so in the same way, would like to be a facilitator to get help to other people who are in desperate need.  There are many people who are working behind the scenes to bring this about. 

 Thanks Rich, for being a big part of getting help to people in need.  We sure do appreciate that big beautiful moving van.  Thanks for lending it to us!  God bless you.

Dear Rich,

We would like to express our gratitude for all the extraordinary effort you have put in to the sale of our home in Bellingham. As I cleaned out old emails, I saw that we began correspondence back in early March. From our first inquiry regarding property values, and how to proceed, we felt guided and supported. The process of relinquishing what you know will be your last independent home, is not an easy process. It was made much easier by the sense of trust we felt in you, and our observation of your ethics at each juncture along the way. I recall you talking about your own parents, and those of your wife, and allowing them the dignity their years deserved. Your dealings with our dad were so considerate and respectful. He never felt pushed. He never felt “railroaded.” He never felt he represented just a financial gain for his realtor.

The seven hour distance from Bellingham and health issues, made clearing out the house an overwhelming prospect. You offered not only good resources, but considerable extra help in providing access to those who carried out the estate sale, etc. Final touches, such as having someone in to vacuum were an added kindness that we truly appreciated.

In the complexities of the three offers that were presented within the first week of the listing, you were diligent in guiding us through. The final sale went through without a hitch, and removed an enormous stress load on all of us.

In a time when true service and customer relations seems rare, we feel so fortunate to have had this experience with you.

Bellingham Boy Scouts work on Eagle Project

Dear Mr Johnson,

Thank you, and thank you to your real estate group for their generosity with their moving van. My project with the local organization “Books to Prisoners” is just one of many non-profits that you have made a positive impact on. Your willingness to share your van simplified my project and solved the logistic problem of transporting 12 bookshelves across town. I cannot imagine the hassle that would have occured were it not for your altruism. Some may overlook your simple act of kindness and charity, but I will not forget it.
