If you were to put a map of Bellingham, Washington on the wall & throw a dart at it, there is not a neighborhood in Bellingham the dart would hit that would not have a lot to boast about. We have a variety of fine neighborhoods with a variety of housing styles, prices, parks & trails.
With that said, one of the neighborhoods that the dart might hit would be Pacificview. This is a neighborhood on the top of Toledo Hill located generally east of Racine St, South of Lopez Court & West of Yew St.
Final plat approval for this subdivision was granted for 106 residential lots & approximately 5 acres of park / open space in November of 1992. The city council went on in April of 1996 to allow the Parks Dept to construct a path & trail system around the Pacificview Subdivision.
The Pacificview subdivision is noteworthy for a variety of reasons: lot sizes are large, ranging in size from 10,000 to 19,000 sq ft; the building types vary from ramblers of 1700+ sq ft to 2 story homes of 4000+ sq ft; sold prices over the last 2 years in Pacificview range from a low of $379,500 for a 1732 sq ft rambler to a high of $728,000 for a 2 story home of 4200 sq ft.
If you look at the Market Report for the Pacificview Subdivision you’ll notice that over the last 2 years only 9 homes have sold. This is a neighborhood where you don’t see a lot of turnover. People have a tendency to buy real estate in Pacificview & stay here for a long time. To view the Pacificview Market Report in pdf form <click here. In viewing this report, you’ll notice that in most instances, these homes sold very close to their asking price.

If you are interested in recreational activities, shopping and schools that are near the Pacificview neighborhood, you’ll be happy to know that this list would include The Arne Hanna Aquatic Center, Civic Field, and even a new skate board park . Groceries are available at Fred Meyer & Cost Cutter - only a stone’s throw away, and there are restaurants to fit every palate – Greek, Spanish, Japanese, Italian & of course just good Ol’ fashioned hamburgers as well. For children & young adults who live in Pacificview, Carl Cozier Elementary School is very close (just down the hill on Lakeway), Kulshan Middle School is certainly within bicycling distance & Sehome High School is a bus ride away.
