Even though Summer is coming to a close, that does not mean that there is a lack of things to do around Whatcom County. Below is a small sampling of events that will be taking place around Bellingham in the month of September.

September 11th, Fairhaven Runner’s 15K:   Bellingham’s beautiful bay and expanding trail system inspired the course. Race along the waterfront and through parks. Enjoy views of the San Juan Islands, Olympic Mountains, and Mt. Baker. This is a walker-friendly race!  Course support, staffed by volunteers, and timing ends at 11:00 am, 2.5 hours after start. September 17-18th, Puget Sound Antique Tractor & Machinery Association Tractor Pull:  Tractor Pulls start at 6pm on Friday with the truck and pickups to follow.  Saturday the pulls kick off at 1pm. For more information visit www.psatma.com

September 18th, Sweet Water Well’s Urban Barn Dance: Help fund the fresh water well project and come out to the Depot Market Square and take place in this great community dance. www.Evangelineinternational.org

September 19th, 2010 Organized Bride Falls Bridal Show: If you or someone you know is getting married this show is for you! Located at the Ferndale Event’s center you will find everything your bridal heart desires.

September 25th, Puget Sound Farm Toy Show: Located at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds you can view the latest in new and antique farm toys for little and big kids alike! 

September 26th, Bellingham Bay Marathon, 1/2 marathon and fun run:  Bellingham Bay Marathon hosts a marathon along the shores of Bellingham Bay, half marathon and 5K to raise funds in support of non-profit Whatcom county youth organizations. www.bellinghambaymarathon.org
