This weekend in Lynden you may see a few more cowboy hats and boots hitting the streets around town as Lynden is playing host to the Professional Cowboy Association’s Rodeo this Friday August 28th and Saturday August 29th.
There is close to $30,000 in prize money to be won be the rodeos
competitors. The grand event includes bull ridding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback riding, team ropping, and saddle bronc riding. There are also several other events to get the crowd involved and boost the spirit of the rodeo.
Both Friday and Saturday’s Rodeos starts at 7:30pm with other events such as the opening of the beer garden and cowboy gift and trade show kicking off earlier. Friday night is “tough enough to wear pink night.” All rodeo participants and spectators are encouraged to wear pink in support of the St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Fund. Monies raised will go to the foundations and to help fight cancer in our community.
Advanced tickets to the rodeo are $12 and $14 on the day off. Tickets are general admission so be sure and get there early to get a good seat!

Is that guy in the picture going to survive that? I can’t believe people can get run over by a bull and live! It looks like that bull is about to eat that guy!
