Mount Baker from the Baker Lake Rd
Last weekend I had the pleasure of camping at Baker Lake Resort along the shores of Baker Lake. If you have never been to Baker Lake it’s a great day trip from Bellingham or around Whatcom County.
Baker Lake is located off Highway 20, before the town of Concrete. Baker Lake is nearly 10 miles long and is a popular place for fishing, swimming, boating, day hiking and more. From the lake, or the many trails you can enjoy stunning views of Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan.
Baker Lake is a man made reservoir and is home to Baker Dam at the South end of the Lake. The lake serves as both power generation and flood control for the area. Puget Sound Energy maintains both the dam and the Baker Lake Resort, which they acquired in 1998 and have been in the process of renovating and preserving to it’s original laid back family fun destination.
I enjoyed all the the resort had to offer from the use of their boat launch to the swimming area and playground, there is something for everyone. If you are interested in coming out to the resort there are many options for your visit, there are day passes, cabins to rent, tent camping sites and even full power and water hook up sites for your RV or travel trailer. Baker Lake Resort is truly a great place!

Hi,
We camped there last summer & had a great time, but were told that it was being closed. Do you have any contact info for the resort? We would love to go up before the summer is over.
Thanks,
Patty
