It’s a great day for dog owners in Bellingham. An off leash dog area has been approved for the bluff-side Birchwood park, filling a void of dog areas on the north side of town. The dog swimming area has been moved a bit at Lake Padden so make it closer to the fenced off leash area and to keep the dogs away from some water plants.
