Ferndale – 6 home rule rescinded

May 12th, 2006 by Fawn | Posted in Development & Growth, Ferndale No Comments »

The Whatcom County Council has decided that Ferndale does not need to put 6 homes per acre after all. County planners had originally approved annexing land into Ferndale on the condition that there be a minimum of 6 homes per acre which means lots are only 7,260 square feet. After Ferndale officials complained, the county council rescinded their decision since the 6 homes per acre was a recoommendation and not a rule.
