Peace Arch to Kick Out Residents
The Peace Arch border has plans to expand - but not within their own park. They want to expand and purchase several residencial lots which contain 13 residences, as well as some vacant lots and a commercial lot.
Federal officials are stating that they need room for more lanes and a larger building. Affected residents are angry because they have been in limbo since the project was announced in 1999 saying that they cannot sell their houses and don’t know when the government plans to buy them.
Several project designs will be presented at 6pm Tuesday, December 13th at the Blaine Seniors Center, 763 G St.
